Líder LAB Raízen is a learning ecosystem developed by the company to cultivate a connected, innovative, and future-ready leadership at Raízen, with a special focus on empowering leaders to self-manage their development and, consequently, drive the company's growth.

Raízen is a globally recognized Brazilian company operating in the field of renewable fuel, with business ventures spanning across the world. Notably, it is responsible for Shell Brasil, and an interesting fact is that Shell Brasil develops the fuel used by the Ferrari Formula 1 team.

But what does LAB stand for?

Raízen's learning ecosystem encompasses virtual learning platforms, events, mentorship programs, roundtable discussions, immersive experiences, and more. In this program, my focus, alongside the nw2 team, was to design the learning experience for Raízen's leadership, develop the visual identity, create the name, determine the topics to be addressed, and most importantly, define how these topics would be approached at each management level.

Throughout this project, we conducted interviews with dozens of Raízen employees, ranging from leaders responsible for sugarcane plantation teams to top executives, including vice-presidents and the CEO, Ricardo Mussa.

Raízen's learning ecosystem encompasses virtual learning platforms, events, mentorship programs, roundtable discussions, immersive experiences, and more. In this program, my focus, alongside the nw2 team, was to design the learning experience for Raízen's leadership, develop the visual identity, create the name, determine the topics to be addressed, and most importantly, define how these topics would be approached at each management level.

In total, we developed five distinct learning journeys for each management level at Raízen:

Future Leadership
Individuals being prepared for future leadership positions within Raízen.

Leadership in Practice
Leaders in coordinating, supervisory, operational, or similar roles.

Leadership in Field
Leaders directly involved in the industry, agriculture, terminals, or aviation sectors.

Strategic Leadership
Leaders in managerial positions.

Leadership that drives change
Executive-level leaders, directors, and vice-presidents.


Each learning journey consists of three stages:

Takeoff
Participants' preparation for the program, equipping them with relevant materials for their development, such as curated content, videos, articles, etc.

Trails
This is where the main personalized learning experiences take place for each journey. Online meetings, hackathons, workshops, and other activities occur during this stage.

Landing
The stage where participants begin to apply the knowledge gained throughout the program. This includes presentations of practical applications, case studies, and more.

Being part of a project of this magnitude, which operates at a national level and impacts the Brazilian economy and society directly, is truly gratifying. Through my involvement with the nw2 team, I feel connected to the development of my country.

The project is in full operation, continually improving, with an evolutionary approach led by Raízen's People Management team, which serves as the heartbeat of the Raízen learning ecosystem.
